5 tips to find balance & boost your mental health
How many times have you simply felt fatigued? It’s not the tiredness of the day that gets to you, but the tiredness of life. Finding a balance in life and your mental health is not easy. But with certain tips, you can navigate to find the right way to find balance and boost your mental health.
Catch a Long Nap
Sleep allows the mind to reset itself. You should give yourself sufficient time to complete at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep. This will enable you to sleep to keep fatigue, grogginess and tiredness away.
Additionally, sleep allows your brain to better control hormones like serotonin that directly affects your mood. Studies have also stated that sleep plays a crucial role in memory and processing information.
Hence, some days, there is simply nothing like sleeping after a tiring day – just make sure you’re getting enough sleep.
Keep a Journal
Journaling has a meditative aspect to it. Giving words to your thoughts and feelings helps you process them. One medical study noted that journaling helped the participants deal with traumatic or stressful events. The act of writing the day’s events and feelings allows you to review and meditate on them.
Furthermore, in a way, journaling is a creative outlet for you and helps you improve your own self-esteem.
Do what you love
One of the most difficult things to do today is to be happy. We do things that we don’t want to do and that leads to unhappiness. Keep at least an hour out of your day to do what you enjoy doing. This could be cooking, writing, reading, sketching, or watching your favourite TV show.

Your mental health is only as good as your physical health. It’s vital that you eat right and exercise regularly. What you eat has a great impact on your mental health. Greasy fast-foods not only take a toll on your body but also your mental health. And regular exercise not only takes care of your fitness but also releases adrenaline and other hormones that are vital in maintaining your mental health.
Additionally, drinking alkaline water can work wonders for your health. The water contains electrolytes and minerals. This enhanced water helps keep acidity at bay and ensures your body has a pH level balance.
Spend time with Family and Friends
